The Covid Conundrum- Vaccinate or Not! A South
African Considers.
Does no one else feel as I do?
How are my personal rights being protected?
I am told I have the right to refuse
vaccination.
But!
Apparently by not being vaccinated I am endangering
others. How I am doing this is not clear, but somehow I am not allowing “herd
immunity” to progress. I could end up in hospital with Covid and unlike (????)
those who have been vaccinated I may die or inconvenience the nurses and
doctors who may have to care for me whilst I die, instead of those who have
been vaccinated being cared for but somehow have a better chance of not dying.
My right not to be vaccinated is apparently sacrosanct, yet I may not travel
overseas to visit my family in another country, unless I am vaccinated. This
gives me the right to buy a ticket and travel, but I must still wear a mask, practice
sanitizing and quarantine when I arrive in the foreign country and be tested
for Covid before leaving my home country and be tested when I arrive overseas.
All at my own cost of course!
I am also told that the various vaccines all
work differently and what is more is that if I have had Covid (and survived)…or
even more miraculously, have had it without showing any symptoms, I may not
have the vaccine as it would then react adversely in my body. Adversely? How
much more adversely would I expect it to react than some of my colleagues and
friends who have either been extremely ill after the vaccination (but
hallelujah did not die- and of course I am told that they almost definitely
would have died had they not been vaccinated. This is of course based on
scientific proven fact.
I am given a survival percentage if I have a
vaccination (you may have the vaccination and choose which one, as long as it
is the one which the government has procured at great sacrifice and cost.) My
possible survival rate after vaccination (Astra Zeneca/Sputnik/Johnson and
Johnson/Moderna/Jannsen/CansSino/Gamaleya/Pfizer/BioNTech and many more) is
said to be much improved, but there are no guarantees. All there is, is a
generated fear of NOT being vaccinated. A herd fear?
Does the fact that although the virus
apparently began to make it way across the world from China late in 2019 and
that as I write now in August 2021 and have remained healthy not have any value
in terms of my survival rate? I would suggest that having survived until now,
without any vaccination might just mean that my possible percentage survival
rate might be higher that that of being vaccinated? No I am not a 30 something,
practising for the Olympic Marathon… I am a 68 year old male, with all the
aches and pains associated with growing old. I am therefore on the endangered
species list Covid wise!
Perhaps I need to add that I have travelled
throughout South Africa by plane and car, crossing many provincial borders on
no fewer that 11 occasions since the so- called pandemic started. I must surely
have been in close contact with the virus?
Allow me to carefully state that I am not
trying to minimize any danger from Covid. I too have lost close friends, due
allegedly? to the virus and I write allegedly because each death has been
written as “ died because of complications caused by Covid”. Various underlying
illnesses seem to be the causal factors with Covid apparently delivering the
coup de grace. No I am again not trying to minimize, merely stating that which
I have been told. And I have no idea at all if any of the deaths so caused were
of people who had been vaccinated. This is carefully not mentioned… or am I not
listening?
So where to from here? Do I remain a pariah?
Will I eventually be shunned by the vaccinated masses? Will I have a number on
my forehead? Will my right to shop, visit a restaurant, watch a football game,
rugby, cricket in a stadium be prohibited because I have not vaccinated? Will
my right to make my own decisions in life be finally taken away from me as I am
forced to hide in my unvaccinated corner of my unvaccinated planet and eventually
be discovered by the VACCINATION POLICE?
History will, I fear one day be written by a
saddened group of old men and women vaccinated by the lie that we all face
today, the absurdity of 8 billion people being vaccinated against a rapidly
mutating virus that has laughed at humanity ever since that sunny day in the
market place of Wuhan.
